Implant Dentistry Credentialing
Are you a DDS planning to take the AAID Associate Fellow or Fellow Examinination ? My experience with the 2024 credentialing exam may prove helpful in navigating conflicting information and "technical difficulties".
I joined the AAID for both the phenomenal educational and credentialing opportunities . The academy has the best lecturers and clinicians in the field of implant dentistry.
In contrast, the credentialing examination process , at least for the 2024 testing year, was fraught with inconsistencies in published format; "technical issues" on the first exam prompted the option to retest or keep score, then another "technical issue" caused the loss of all exam videos and documents, the consequences of which caused the need for all candidates to retest.

My goal in sharing the emails between myself, Jonathan Sprague (Director of Education and Credentialing) and others at the AAID, is to familiarize you with potential issues that can affect credentialing outcome just as much as your score. Read your AAID credentialing guidelines, compare that information to emails written by the same people responsible for writing and / or updating those same guidelines.
